.WISHINGSTAR.
THIRTY MOONS
SHE-CAT
DREAMCLAN
LEADER
SHE-CAT
DREAMCLAN
LEADER
Personality: Wishingstar has always been misunderstood by many. She is short-tempered and bold, always ready to strike back with a witty remark. She hates it when people belittle her for having kittypet blood. She just knows that she’s in a clan now and surprisingly she’s ruling it. Although she may seem a bit rash and self-centered, Wishingstar is rather sweet and cares deeply for her clan. She would die for each cat, from a kit to an elder and from the medicine cat to an ordinary warrior. Death and the wounded always brings her sorrow, yet she is somewhat pugnacious and isn’t afraid of a challenge. The she-cat is often quick to act- not really thinking before she does anything, yet she always finds a way to somehow make everything work. Wishingstar is head-strong and unafraid of higher authorities- which aren’t many seeing that she’s leader.
Despite the fact that cats think she wouldn’t make a good leader, Wishingstar has led her clan through thick and thin with organization and love. She is firm and unyielding when it comes to punishments, yet she is caring and strategic which makes her a wonderful leader. She always stands up for what she believes in and will never back down.
Although she is pretty serious sometimes, Wishingstar can be quite funny. She’s fun to hang out with and always rearing to play a joke. She loves to laugh and will take a joke if necessary. The leader is also quite open-minded seeing that Lionstar had taken her in when she was a kittypet kit. Wishingstar is slowly starting to find it hard to remember her past, yet all she knows is that she’s better off with the clans now.
History: Born as a kittypet, wishingstar had always been ridiculed. Yet it wasn’t just her blood that cats had mocked her for. It was also the fact that she was the runt of the litter. Her mother and father, Rose and Blade, had even thought she was born a still-born at first glance. The she-cat was the last to come in the whole litter. While the other kits were already suckling, her mother felt a second contraction and there came wishingstar in all her shivering glory. Adding to the fact that she was born later than the rest of her siblings, wishingstar was oddly colored. She stuck out from the moment she was born, taking on her father’s pure white coat, opposed to her mother’s fiery mane. Therefore, wishingstar was always in children’s eyes. Many wanted to hold her and pet her, but both her parents and her human owners feared that one of them might accidentally squish her.
By her second moon, wishingstar had achieved the name Annabelle in dedication to the youngest of the human family. Coincidentally, both she and wishingstar were the youngest and both were weak and fragile. Half of Belle’s siblings had already been up and adopted while she stayed behind the protection of her parents- and boy did she hate it. Little Annabelle was over smothered. She was dying from the care and precautions her protective parents took in keeping her safe for she had fragile bones and her coat was thin. They thought she wouldn’t even live past her third moon- yet she did.
Wishingstar had grown strong and confident. Her bones hardened and her fur grew thick until it hid the muscle that was slowly forming under her skin. She was no longer a helpless kitten in need, but a cat: a full grown she-cat who could easily catch the eye of any tom. Yet her parents still had a strict plan for her. They wanted her to breed with the cat next door- a bulky, self-centered tom who wishingstar tried her best to stay away from. Thankfully, one fateful day, little annabelle left all that behind.
As her parents were off sleeping and tending to the human family, wishingstar had slipped away into the garden where she dug a space under the creamy white fence that separated her cushy kitty-pet life and the wild. And waiting behind that barrier was a cat: the leader of Dreamclan, Lionstar. He had been watching her for wishingstar had been working on her escape route every time she got the chance (and her parents were definitely in a fume to find her covered in dirt). Now, she finally had a chance to escape.
At first, it spooked the she-cat to find a wildcat waiting for her on the side of freedom. He wasn’t the cleanest sight to look at yet he had a calm, serene tone to him. He welcomed her and asked her what exactly did she think she was doing to crawl under the fence into the wild. Belle quickly explained, with as much frustration as she could get out- telling the tom how much she had been treated like a doll and how ‘delicate’ the other cats thought she was. And with all confidence, wishingstar told him in a clear voice: ”I wish they’d understand that I’m not that weak little kitten anymore. I want to be strong! I want to be free!” And with that, the leader led the young kitten to Dreamclan camp. There, Annabelle buried her collar and achieved the name Wishingpaw in honor of what she had said to the past leader.
Although she was ridiculed for the first part of her life in the clans, Wishingpaw had earned her title. She fought back fiercely at the other apprentices and was often beaten down for all she did to prove that she wasn’t weak. The day she became a warrior was the day cats stop calling her weak and instead listened to her with full attention. The day started out like any other day, with Wishingpaw finishing the morning patrol with another snicker by the other apprentices. She was finally fed up with everything and had stormed out of camp in hopes that she would eventually cool down. It was a good thing she was out of camp for as she walked, she heard something. It was a loud rumble that stung her ears and within moments she smelled the musky odor of rogues. They were coming straight for camp, assembled in a tightly packed group ready for blood spilling. Quick on her paws, Wishingpaw ran back to camp, screaming and yelling that rogues were on the way. Lionstar was quick to respond and took the queens, kits and elders to a safe haven outside camp grounds. In the mean time, Wishingpaw rushed around arranging the warriors and telling them what to do for she knew each of their strengths and weaknesses. At first, they brushed her orders away, yet as the rumbling got louder they followed and soon enough there were three lines of warriors ready for battle. Lionstar returned, surprised to find the warriors in such order, and led them forth to attack.
The battle didn’t last long thanks to Wishingpaw. They took each rogue down with only two or three deaths and a few wounded. Proudly, Lionstar brought a wounded Wishingpaw up to high rock for her warrior ceremony where she became Wishingheart.
It wasn’t long until Lionstar retired away, being so old. Unfortunately, through a few recent battles, the deputy had fallen and the clan was in need. To everyone’s surprise, Lionstar chose Wishingheart to take his place and now, Wishingstar leads happily- finally in her place.
Appearance: True to her clan’s physical profile, Wishingstar has a beautiful, almost pale, light crème colored pelt with a light orange tinge upon her ears. Faint orange stripes reside between her eyes and around her nose as well as the form of rings down her tail. Despite the fact that she’s leader, Wishingstar is one of the smallest cats in her clan, yet she rules firmly. She has a light build with heavy muscle beneath her fluffy fur. Short legs and little paws, Wishingstar is quite close to the ground yet with sharp claws she’s a great climber. The she-cat has wide, challenging eyes, filled mostly by her dark, mysterious pupils. She has long whiskers that stretch across her face with ears that are wide-spread on opposite sides of her head. Her tail is quite long and if sad, she usually lets it drag along the ground behind her.
